Color Analysis
“Colors are the smiles of nature.” Leigh Hunt
We instinctively recall sensory information about each season nature wears. We recall the way the light reflects and feels in each season, the colors the landscape brings forth or shelters in rest. Our memories retain deep feelings in response to the changing seasons and the beauty each season represents. That first burst of fresh green popping through snow covered soil. The look and feel of soft grass on your bare feet. The crunch of earthy golden leaves when you step off the path. The brightness and lightness snow brings to a dark landscape. Nature displays different palettes in different seasons and in different locales.
We, too, play a part in nature. We ARE nature. Our skin contains an undertone, gifted us by nature, that guides us to find our own harmony within nature’s full palette. When discovered, we find harmony in a color palette that feels like home, feels like ease, feels like peace. We breathe a sigh of relief when we see how effortlessly the colors all coordinate. We begin to see how we belong to and fit so beautifully and effortlessly within our palette. This is where it begins…
Are you ready to find yourself in this way? Do you long to feel a sense of ease and peace when you get dressed each day? Are you tired of following trends that don’t feel like you? Does a personal color analysis feel like another expression of your self exploration and growth?
When we begin you color analysis, I take time to explain the 12 seasonal tones and how they relate to each other. We talk about the why’s behind the process. We discuss what we’ll be looking at and for during your analysis.
During your analysis I use specific, full spectrum lighting and a series of intentional and harmonizing drapes from NDU colors to reveal your most harmonious colors for clothing, makeup, jewelry and more.
Once we discover your best season, we’ll drape the luxury NDU Colors to show what your palette can look and feel like in real life. Test drapes are specifically for revealing certain color effects and help differentiate between seasons.
If you’re interested, we’ll evaluate your makeup and determine whether or not they harmonize with your palette. You will also have this time to try some makeup for your season, such as blush and lipstick.
We will “play” with your swatch book to see how it harmonizes, or doesn’t, with any clothing you’ve brought along. I will demonstrate how to use your swatch book to determine if a piece of clothing or makeup “works” with your palette or not.
At the end of your appointment, you’ll receive your season’s archival canvas color fan to keep, as well as a wallet-sized color card for your season. You will also have lifetime access to my resource pages for your season and continued support as you live into your season.
Because the specifics and environment of the color analysis is so important, this service cannot be offered virtually. I offer personal color analysis in my studio in Prescott, Wisconsin.
